September is an exciting month at CSE as our students continue settling into the new school year. This month brings our first round of progress monitoring, along with Picture Day, Family Night, Student of the Month and more.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to help every student learn, grow and succeed. We’re looking forward to a great month!

Kinder–2nd Grade: 4:00 pm–4:45 pm
3rd–5th Grade: 4:30 pm–5:15 pm
Join us for Family Night! This special event is a great opportunity for parents and families to see what students have been learning in class. Explore student projects, review recent test results and learn about their progress and achievements. Teachers will be able to answer questions and provide guidance for continued success. We look forward to partnering with you to celebrate learning!
Lifetouch Photography will be coming to our school on Friday, September 18. Flyers will be going home soon for you to purchase photos. Students must be dressed in the Friday Formal attire to be photographed.
Students can use i-Ready at home to continue building their skills. Your child’s teacher can provide individual login information and answer questions.
Students are learning to notice when others are hurting, stop to help, take time to listen, do what they can and be kind regardless of differences.
Students have embarked on a new tactile approach to learning through their STEM projects.
Students are building teamwork and collaboration through engaging activities that encourage movement, heart health and locomotor skills.
Regular, on-time attendance is essential to student success. Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. are tardy and must be signed in through the Front Office. Please notify the office of absences and reserve early pick-ups for emergencies and medical appointments.
After five tardies or early sign-outs, a student may be considered truant or demonstrate a pattern of non-attendance.
Families must complete a new free/reduced lunch application each school year. Applications are available in English and Spanish under School Information
Parents can pay school fees and lunch payments online through PayPams. Visit PayPams.com, select Florida, then choose The Charter School of Excellence to create your account.
CSE provides free Morning and Aftercare programs for students. Morning Care begins at 7:30 a.m. and includes breakfast. Academic Enrichment includes snack, homework help and instructional support.
Students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m.
Late pickup is $25 plus $1 per minute after 6:00 p.m.
