Hello CSE Families,
i-Ready Diagnostic PM3
CSE students will complete their Spring i-Ready Diagnostic during the month of March. Teachers will analyze students’ data results to review students’ level of proficiency in Reading and Math. Results will be used to determine if students are on track for meeting promotion criteria.
Please continue to practice reading and math strategies at home.
CSE's Anti-Bullying Policy
At CSE, we put a big emphasis on making sure we provide a positive learning environment for our students, including one that is free from bullying. We know that students achieve their best at school in a safe and supportive environment where they are free from bullying and disruptive behavior.
Bullying is a serious issue for all of us. We know that it can happen anywhere, anytime, and can have devastating consequences. The best way to tackle bullying and cyberbullying is for schools, students, and parents to work together.
If you see something, say something.
Attendance
Parents, it is imperative that students arrive to school on time and attend daily. Students are tardy after 8:30 am. If arriving after the tardy time, parents must check in through the Front Office to sign in their child.
Parents must notify the front office of any absences.
To ensure your child receives their full instructional time, early pickups are approved for emergencies and doctor appointments only.
After five tardies or early sign outs, students will be determined as truant, a pattern of non-attendance. In some cases, law enforcement may be contacted if early sign outs have affected your child’s education.
Let’s work together to ensure your child’s attendance remains consistent to guarantee a successful academic school year.
Title I Parent and Family Engagement Survey 2025-2026
Please take a moment to complete our Title I Parent and Family Engagement Survey. Your responses will help us evaluate our programs, improve services, and strengthen communication between home and school.
All families who complete the survey will receive 5 Volunteer Hours.
How to complete the survey
Text survey 5271 to (954) 388-8846 and follow the prompts on your phone. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete.
Thank you parents for your collaboration and support with CSE.

Field Trips
Field Day is approaching on Thursday March 12! We look forward to a day filled with competitive stations and beautiful weather. If you were selected as a chaperone, please ensure that you arrive on time ready to assist Coach Mike at TY Park.

Our 5th Grade students will be taking their end of year trip soon to Kennedy Space Center. They will get to explore space history and iconic sights like the Apollo/Saturn V Center, Space Shuttle Atlantis, and the Rocket Garden.

If you would like for your student to participate, please ensure that a payment is made via PayPams or cash and you have signed and returned the field trip form.
Parents, if you are interested in volunteering for any of the upcoming field trips, please reach out to your student’s classroom teacher to see if there is space available.

Classroom Happenings
We are working so hard! The 4th quarter is upon us as well as state testing. We are aiming high.
Kindergarten
Students are learning about different types of matter. They have also experimented with how matter can change.
1st Grade
In science, students are learning more about living and non-living things.
2nd Grade
Second grade has been investigating forces. They have explored the effect of applying pushes and pulls on different objects, and that the greater the force applied to an object, the greater the change in motion or speed of the object. Students recognize that objects are pulled toward the ground through the force of gravity and that magnets can be used to make some things move without touching them. Physics at its finest.
3rd Grade
Third grade students are learning about Earth and Space, including the Sun, stars, and other objects in the sky. They are discovering how the Sun provides light and energy that supports life on Earth and how scientists use tools like telescopes and satellites to study space. Students also explore how natural forces such as wind and water can change Earth’s surface over time.
4th Grade
Students are learning about the different states of matter and the water cycle. Students learned that matter can be a solid, liquid, or gas. They also talked about how water can change from one state to another. Students explored melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation and how these changes are part of the water cycle.
5th Grade
Students are focusing on the human body and how the different systems work together.
