The Charter School of Excellence in Fort Lauderdale is an A+ accredited, tuition-free public charter school serving grades K-5. It was one of the first charter schools to open in Broward County in 1997 and has been ranked as one of the highest performing schools in the district and the state.

A new Charter School of Excellence is
opening in Davie in August 2008 for grades
K-5. This school will offer the same successful curriculum and philosophy as the original Charter School of Excellence.
